Angel Of The River RIVER MINISTRY On the Banks of the Paraguay river there are many isolated villages that can only be reached by boat. In response to the needs of these people both physical and spiritual the ministry “Angel of the River” was formed. The boat, also called “Angel of the River”, is used to transport short term mission teams along with Betania staff to these remote villages. Once there they share the gospel through theater and puppets, and also spend time encouraging those who are already Christians. In each villages the Betania nurses also run an outdoor clinic to care for the people who have no regular access to medical care. Throughout the years that this ministry has been in operation, the lives of these people have changed drastically because of Jesus' touch.
