Mission trips
Mision Betania, in Paraguay, offers opportunities to anyone interested in getting involved with going on short-term mission trips.
The opportunities:
Help with maintenance and small construction projects on the base in Luque.
Take missionary trips down the Paraguay River on our boat, “Angel of the River”.
Discipleship and social work with ethnic groups Mby`a Guaraní in Pindoí Cullandrillo and the Ache in Chupapó-Capitan Bado where social and community service projects are being developed.
Volunteer at the private elementary school and high school on the Betania campus; this serves about 300 students, ranging from preschool to 12th grade.
Staying at the Mission, you will have the opportunity to live with a diverse set of international missionaries. You will also do house visits in the neighborhood, help with the development of social and health projects, and with a soccer school that teaches more than 60 boys and girls.
Helping emotionally, spiritually, and professionally in the clothing design and embroidery school where normally about 12 women are in training.
Short Term Mission Teams
In the last 10 years, Mission Betania has received short-term mission teams from Brazil, U.S.A., Canada, and Paraguay.
These teams are mobilized by their churches to serve in the boat ministry, “Angel of the River”.
STEM International prepares and sends teams from the United States and Canada.
In Brazil, the teams are mobilized by Jumib (Junta de Missoes Betania), the Presbyterian Church of Itaqui in Campo Largo PR, Operation Mobilization, and YWAM.
